I purchased one pack of Item EM KDI Masala Pare 210 G @ Rs. 48/- from above reliance fresh store on 15-12-12 alongwith other items.  At the time of opening of pack for consumption I checked the date of manfucturing.  I found the packing date to be 17 Apr 12 with expiry period of six months.  If we calculate the expiry period it comes to end on 16 Oct 12 whereas item was still placed on the shelf for sale on 15 Dec 12.

 

It is strange to find such a criminal negligence on the part of company as well as store management.  What I find that either your company lacks the proper supervision or policy in this regard or company management is indulging in unfair trade practice or company lacks data regarding food item in their stores.

 

I don’t want to make it a big issue still I feel that you should instruct your store staff to be more vigilant in this regard.

 

I also expect that defective item sold through store will be replaced eary.
